Any Nikon and Canon dual shooters?

I'm not going to get rid of my Nikon, I just love the camera eco system to much.  However that Canon EOS R has caught my eye.  A buddy has this camera and it's amazing.  I know it doesn't get flying colors with some reviews, personally I thought it's a sexy camera that works well at many things, just not a master.

Now the obvious I know if I get this camera, that would mean double the gear I would have to have with me as I would need a completely separate set of lenses or use some sort of metabone adapter on one of the cameras to use the others lenses.

Just curious, so do any of you use both platforms?

The last time (long ago!) I served two masters, I burnt my fingers.

You understand that you will have to invest in two systems, right?

Light is free… capturing it is not!

What you have will do everything that what you want will do.  That makes it an emotional issue.  Pretty hard to help you with that.

G'day Nick

It is quite possible to have "2 affairs of the heart" ... but to have 2-mistresses is expensive and not always satisfactory

OMG I have a tough time keeping up with just one brand.  I wouldn't want to have 2 complete different setups.  Forget about cost, can  you imagine the weight of carrying around all that weight?

Never considered it.

2 reasons why I wouldn't:

1. To expensive
2. To heavy

Never considered it.  Now truthfully, a couple years ago, I was sold on the Canon 1DX and came so close to ditching Nikon and moving to Canon.  But I stayed because I just love the Nikon cosmos too much.

No desire to have both platforms at all.
