Shipping camera gear to Christchurch, New Zealand?

Anyone have suggestions for shipping camera gear to Christchurch New Zealand?  Would you ship to hotel?  Or just pick up at DHL or FedEx office?

G'day Carry

I presume you are selling something to another, but someone you know their details ...

It doesn't seem to matter who the carrier is - lots of stuff I get from the US comes via any of 1/2-dozen carriers and is delivered to the local post office 'no worries mate'

For best security I suggest that you address it as ...
For Personal Collection
Central Post Office > [confirm the name via Dr Google]
Christchurch .... etc. etc.

This will require the recipient to produce photo-ID to confirm details and the goods will be signed for

Hope this helps

Are you traveling there?  If you are traveling there, ship to hotel.  That way you don't have to track down and deal with shipping stations.

Shipping to hotel makes sense cause if you're absent, there will
be someone at the desk to receive and sign for the parcel

Light is free… capturing it is not!

+1 Hotel

Best bet and easier to access.

Canon 5D Mark II | Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM | Canon 35L | Sigma 85 1.4 | Helios 44M-6 58mm(M42) | Zeiss 50mm 1.4 (C/Y) | Canon 135L | (2) 430EX II

Agree if you are heading there, the hotel will keep it safe and ready for you.  Easier when you get there and have your gear waiting for you at the hotel vs having to go out and find the FedEx location.
