Actually, no. I was referring to people in general.

G'day all

The proposals / actions of the US towards China are affecting heaps more than just you people =and= the price of cameras - they are beginning to have ramifications around the world as well. Whether it's your camera or TVs or cars or household white goods, the finished products start life as raw materials that are supplied from somewhere into China

Oz is one of those suppliers, and our industries are seeing the start of what could possibly become a severe downturn in our exports - meaning national income ... meaning that we [over the next decade or so] will struggle to buy the defence goods of aeroplanes and military goods we have contracted to buy from the US

Our farmers who want to buy US made tractors and agricultural machinery will have trouble taking delivery of goods that can't be made due to components sourced from China but which are now scarce due to these political restrictions

The world has come to expect "free-trade" with few restrictions.  Everywhere around the world, industry has been moved from country to country as the shareholders chase lowering costs and raising profits, and we as customers have enjoyed those lower prices for our goods. To now have that potentially shut down could open up an economic downturn greater than the GFC of a decade ago ~ and who knows what the outcome of that would be

Well not much we can do about this.  Which could turn into something very bad.  Just saying.

G'day all

The latest move by China re: currency has wiped $100 billion off the Aussie stockmarket in 2 days of trading
Where is this going to stop? ... When is Trump going to acknowledge that you can't unscramble the egg and return it to the way it was 'years ago'?
