Don't leave your camera unattended with a 4 year old

My sister just had a new baby to join her 4 year old son.  Early today I was taking photos of both her kids.  Then I went off to get some groceries for them as her and her husband have not had the chance with the new baby.  When I got back, I noticed my camera was all covered with #2 pencil drawings!

:pinch:   I didn't say anything to my sister, and honestly didn't want to get the little one in trouble.  After all, I should have packed my camera away.  Little kid is so darn cute, but dang, he did a number to my camera!

2D surfaces or 3D objects… they draw on anything, anytime!

When kids are around, the world changes for all, including
image makers! :P

Did you get rid of it all… or did you ask him to sign it? :)

Light is free… capturing it is not!

To my surprise, it all came off pretty easy with a moist micro fiber cloth.  I should have had him autograph it!

Well look on the plus side, at least he didn't use paint!

As a woodworker, I've known that denatured alcohol removes pencil marks very easily from wood and other surfaces.

I thought you were going to show us the pictures that he took.

Actually, denatured alcohol removes sharpie ink too.

Pretty sure alcohol over time will damage the lens coating.

Not really Cliff, as it evaporates very quickly, in seconds.

What it will do is eat away at the white paint markings on the lens.
