Not really. You just need to look at the amount of background blur.

I hate videos like this though. All they prove is that in a very limited set of circumstances designed to make the phone look good, they can take a picture that most people would be happy with, provided they don't want to crop or manipulate the image at any point.

You hardly ever see comparison videos even comparing them at night, because the phone would completely fall apart and everyone could tell instantly which was which. If you take an expensive camera, put a wide angle lens on it, close the aperture right down, and only show it at a resolution where you can't notice the extra detail, then yes, it can be hard to notice the difference. In literally any other circumstance, it's easy to tell.

That and the Samsung seemed to have slightly overworked colors.

Mobile phones do a fine job as long as there is plenty of light, you like small images, and short focal lengths/small apertures.

Pointless, contrived comparison.

Pretty much how it is. You can print up to small prints  perhaps 12 x 14”
