Covert scouting cameras

1 year 5 days ago #659284 by Sassy Girl
My husband wants a scouting camera, and I don't know much about these sort of cameras.  I want to get one for his birthday coming up.

Would you happen to know what is the difference between these cameras:  https://www.covertscoutingcameras.com/csc/covert-scouting-cameras/2019-cameras/

He wants to photograph wild animals in the trails we hike on.  But which of these would you get?  Seems like most of them are below $150 with a few up over $300.  So there is a range.

People just leave these cameras out in the woods?  Sounds like an accidental loss if you ask me.

That is the idea… to shoot when animals feel at ease to
visit a setup place, and the camouflage — both visual
and olfactive is important too.

I have and use a Browning trail camera (don't remember the model #), used mainly to see what critters are taking the snacks I leave out. Lots of Foxes and a Bobcat or two....No problem leaving them out around here. Be aware, they don't produce quality images, just good enough for ID.

Why so serious?
