GoPro will get hit from iPhone 11 Pro?

I was just watching a video by Matti H about his thoughts on the iPhone 11.  He brought up something that I've been thinking about.  It's been interesting to watch the rise and somewhat fall of GoPro.  Rumors recently about GoPro 8 have seemingly got some people excited.  Do you think the GoPro market will be effected by the iPhone 11 Pro?

They are somewhat different markets. Aside from mounting one on a gimbal, I don't see much overlap.

People don't mount their cell phones to their helmets. The new iPhone isn't going to change that.

So, no. The action camera market has reached saturation. That's the main problem with it.

That was my point. I could have suggested a headband, too.

Yes and no.

Action shooters?  Not a chance, you can't beat the durability of a GoPro

Casual shooters who bought GoPro to be a compact always have on them camera, yes, GoPro IMHO will feel the impact.

Canon 5d Mark II • Canon 24-105mm F/4.0 • Canon 135mm F/2.0 • Canon 50mm F/1.8 • Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 • Canon 580ex ii

I think that's never going to happen. The market of GoPro and iPhone are so different. You can not use your iPhone as an action camera, not on your helmet. Both brands are different from each other, and have different customer bases.

I disagree, they aren't the same, however they aren't that different either.  *Putting aside the action side of things.  And speaking about convenience.

There's a healthy market for both. Myself, I use my Samsung S4 as a phone, if I wanted an action cam I'd get a GoPro in a heartbeat. People have different interests.

Why so serious?
