Where are you finding vintage cameras for sale?

4 years 5 months ago #665255 by Steve Zahra
I have a new man cave that is getting finished this month and I want to have a wall that is cover with cameras.  So I don't need for these to work.  I just want to find a good selection of vintage and interesting cameras to display.

I know KEH and MPB, any place else where I might pick up a good deal?

Here, pro togger associations have a few flea markets
around the year and in different regions.

Suggest looking on Craig's List, flea markets, yard sales, eBay, Goodwill/Salvation Army, estate sales. The few stores we still have seem to carry older cameras, and one even had a big sale recently to clear out inventory.

This, especially estate sales.

Why so serious?

OMG delayed recollection just hit me about this question.  Go to every garage sale you can find.  You'll be surprised with how many cameras you'll find and often cheap too!  My father collects cameras and that is where he used to find them all.

Besides Goodwill and thrift stores and antique shops etc., online there's ShopGoodwill, or Central Camera (in Chicago), or Pacific Rim Camera, or Pittsburgh Camera Exchange (aka Bernie's Photo). Most have ebay pages and often list vintage/antique cameras there (look on their sites for links to their ebay user names/listings).

I don't know if there's a camera swap in your area but if there is it would probably come up in a search.

(For MPB check the shipping times/cost and return policy etc.; they're a UK company with a US office and shipping from a warehouse in the midwest, and the return time seemed fairly short last I looked.)
