Anyone here still using Flickr?

I'm just doing some house cleaning on my computer and going through passwords and updating where I  need too.  I cancelled my Flickr account about this time last year after being there since 2007, or it might have been 2006.  Either way, a long time.  I cancelled as I was having issues with my account and frankly had slowed down using my account.  When I was uploading photos, it was to either Facebook or Instagram.

(random being nosey question)

So, are you still using Flickr?

Nope. Way back when yayhoo acquired flickr they dumped all of my images. I tried a few months back to set up a new account but they wouldn't recognize my email/password, or when I tried new info they said an account already existed with those....NO help from CS after ten or so efforts, so bye flickr!

Why so serious?

G'day Stanly

Yeah matey - I'm still with them as it suits me :)

Maybe I am a little different from others as I am okay with paying them their $50pa to remove all adverts from my pages along with giving me a bit more space ~ though it's not really needed. ALL my images are reduced to 800 or 1000 pixels wide, so that others can view them on screen but not enlarge them or print them large enough to make alternate use of. It also is the source for linking images to this and other photo sites ~ although sometimes those images appear less than ideally 'sharp' at times ~ it does not bother me

On my hdd I have annual duplicate folders of all my Flickr images, so if the site died or access was revoked, theoretically I could recreate those Flickr albums elsewhere ... but I somehow doubt that my family would be all that interested in chasing them up elsewhere

Its main purpose is to give family and friends a point where they can go to, to look at some of the stuff that has caught my eye

Hope this helps

Yep, not in long time.  I'm guessing 5 years at least.  It's been awhile.
