Running a camera on USB Power Bank

4 years 4 months ago #670035 by Matt VanDyke
As I understand you can run your camera on a DC power supply right?  So does that include running it on a USB power bank of some sort?  I'm thinking about getting something up something like a 25000mAh Power Bank.  Considering our LP-E6 batteries are what 1865mAh, this would equal having 12-14 batteries on me.

This will be great for weekend camping trips.  See what I mean?

Yes, I see!

Not only can you drive a camera but also charge your devices.
I have a 10A power source for the long days shooting in the
wilderness cold of winter.

Man, power banks have gotten so small compared to back in the day bricks.  How long does it take to charge that thing?

Relay Camera Coupler CRCE6
and
Tether Tools Case Relay Camera Power System

Search them for the ultimate, no battery camera power.

Why so serious?

Four hours with the right charger.

I have a 20100 Anker bank, the first charge took about eight hours, now I have a better charger (Anker as well) and it charges in two to three hours, however I've yet to run the bank all the way discharged.
