Probably less than a pound. They gain weight as you fill them with gear.

Why so serious?

I don't see a reason to have a heavy camera bag.  Most, will not need everything they own in their bags.  Think about what is needed on each shoot and head out with what is needed.  Why carry more than you need?

Guessing 15lbs.  Guess only.  I have not weighed my bag and I'm thinking it will have to do on the day.

G'day all

Yesterday was chatting to a woman about to do a 16-day aero tour of Australia's Kimberly / Pilbara area in a 12-seater plane ... all 5-star stuff and well out of my price range  :(

Each passenger was 'advised' to bring several changes of clothes incl formal wear for evening meals, along with hiking boots and other clobber for outdoors activities

However each passenger was restricted to a total baggage weight of 16kg .... about 35lbs for those who still use pounds

Lighter than my shop bag!   That is for sure.  I'm thinking around 12-14lbs.

For every outing, the excursion is not the goal in itself but the
image hunting opportunities it brings along. So my bag is big,
and full, and heavy, and it's been like that for 40+ years. As long
as my shoulder and back are not complaining, I will keep the sa-
me "bad habit" I guess!

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Very very light. I have one body, one lense and tripod so you can take a guess at the weight. Suits me fine as I generally just drive to some random location and then hike around til I find something photo-worthy. Don't want to be lugging a ton of stuff about for hours on end.

I've never bothered to weigh it, but way too heavy, and that's a backpack style that I've taken to Yellowstone.
