Maybe people aren't upgrading their phones every six months now? Like cameras, they're getting pretty good, no? Its not like people have stopped using them.

True, that's a good point.  Plus I think there is far more options, which will have people perhaps buying outside of the big 3.  Not to mention the used market.

Most have them, and the used market has been flooded with a surplus, so that has slowed down new purchases too.
