Photographers Leatherman?

4 years 3 months ago #670774 by Pete Franko
Are you familiar with a leatherman made for photographers?   I checked Leathermans site and didn't see there.  There are so many companies that make these sort of tools.

Hoping that one exist and one of you can point me to it.

Thanks!

Many years ago, my children got together to give me
a "Wave" by Leatherman for my birthday.

It has proven handy… including for photo too.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

A Leatherman Wave is always on my belt, and has been used several times for my photography, but I use it frequently for many other needs. I don't see where there would be a need for a specialized Photographer's Leatherman, other than maybe saving a few ounces by eliminating a few tools that a photographer would likely never use. But then I have used a few of the tools that were included in my Wave for applications that I'm certain that Leatherman never thought of. I recently used the can opener point as a scribe for marking a long straight line on a piece of sheet metal using a board as a guide (I do other things beside photography).

Wave Plus is one of the best utility tools you can have.  I've had one for a number of years and it's always with me, and it get's used almost daily.   There are tons of knockoff brands on Amazon, stick with Leatherman, it's worth the extra $$.
