This is cool, but I don't understand how are they able to add information.  Does it work like the Clone tool in photoshop except it's pulling from around each pixel?

Viewing full size on a 4K screen you see a fair number of artifacts. The sharpening is impressive, in any event.

I totally dig seeing stuff like this.  There was a remake of WWII footage a couple months ago that I found to be really good as well.
