CP+ 2020 show in Japan cancelled due to coronavirus

Dang,  pretty serious.  I was just reading that the CP+ show in Japan has been cancelled due to this virus.  That's the largest photo expo in the world.  That will surely hurt some companies.

Again, this will affect a lot more than photo shows, among many other things China makes most of our prescription and non-prescription medications.....A thing like this could ultimately collapse the Chinese gubmint, and that won't be good for anyone.

Why so serious?

True, it's pretty bad.  Honestly I thought they had a cure for this.  I guess I was wrong.

Anyone else heading out to WPPI in a couple weeks for that show?  I wonder if I should have concerns?

I think I'm going to order a mask.  Does it make any difference what kind of mask?

Wear a mask and get really friendly with hand sanitizer

Those are good ideas anytime, but I don't think they even know how that virus is transmitted yet....

Best to play it safe and if you attend, minimize hand shakes, and when you do, wash your hands and carry around alcohol based hand sanitizer and use it very often.

+1 I couldn't agree more.  I'd even limit the hand shakes as well.

I don't see WPPI cancelling, there will be all sorts of precautions, 100%.

Scary stuff if you ask me.  I wonder if they are going to move the show to the end of the year, or completely scratch it for 2020?

This is affecting far more than these shows.  So many manufactures are shut down because of this.
