Photographing Ireland Castles and landscapes

If I fly into Dublin, how accessible are some of the historic castles from here?  Cliffs?
I understand I'm going to be driving around, so would Dublin be a good 'in-the-middle' place to stay?

There are a few castles in the Dublin area, but the landscapes and seascapes are on the western and northern coasts, IMO.  Its not a big country and everything is reachable by car.

Why so serious?

Do you know of a map that shows where all these castles are there?

BTW thank you!

Wikipedia has a list of castles in Ireland (which i found in 10 seconds via a google). You'll want to get familiar with the counties so you have some idea of the area each is in.

Ireland is not big. You can drive across it in about 3 hours, north to south in about 5-6 (-ish?). But if you want landscapes and seascapes, you probably want to be on the west coast. Possibly Galway. All the scenic stuff is not together, however, so you'll be moving around. Certainly, the Wiold Atlantic Way is on the northwest/west coast.

Dublin is the least expensive to fly into, I found. It's fine if you want to stay in Dublin. Otherwise, choose something else.

Least to fly into?  Thats weather related right?

I hear weather can be a tough, with lots of rain.

Dublin has a ton of drunk people in it.  Last time I was there we constantly saw so many people tanked.  Landscapes are incredibly beautiful there.
