So you came up with an obscure piece of equipment from 35 years ago to justify your statement? It was created for a specific need at that time and isn't relative to any current discussion now about modern equipment. This would just further confuse people that are already confused to begin with.

That was the only TC I ever bought and was left in the
wrong idea they were made that way… always learning.

Your statement, that "camera doesn't focus the conver-
ter, only the lens" was also not exact then. :)

Teleconverters are like eyepieces in a telescope.  They simply magnify what the lens does.  In doing that they undermine all the effort put into the design of the lens.

I bet the sharpness and over all image will suffer.  I'm just guessing. LOL I'm actually kind of curious to see what happens.  Heck try it out and report what happens!
