Anyone go from mirrorless back to DSLR?

I'm helping out a friend who is considering moving to a mirrorless camera.  Anyone ever go mirrorless and then go back to a DSLR?

Do you know what caused them to go back?

This kind of move will be done by someone inexperimented
I think.

Anyone? Probably, but I'd imagine a lot of photographers will use both systems for a while. I'll go mirrorless at some point, but won't swap out my dslrs. I'm pretty comfy with them.

Why so serious?

I'm not following you?

She's kind of in the same boat as me with the difference her Nikon gear is much newer than mine.  She has a Nikon D850.  Just like me, I have been saving up and will make the move sooner by selling off some of my existing F mount gear.  Seeing that she recently (last year) upgraded to the D850, she has more concerns about making such a move.  Hence where this question started from.

Pretty sure the word was supposed to be "inexperienced".

If changing equipment type solves a problem (and it really should) then, as long as the solution was a good one, there would be no need to regress.

That said, I'm unaware of anyone that switched then switched back.

G'day mate

If you were to ask enough people and enough times, then you will certainly find someone who has done what you are asking. No doubt it is a bit like asking people if they have changed cars from Ford to Toyota and gone back to a Ford. Generally meaningless overall

To my eye, the choice of camera is ergonomic as much as features ~ if it works well and fits your hands & eyes etc. then all to the good. If you find that something just does not work as expected, then it is reasonable to consider a swap to something that suits you better. It does not mean the former item is a failure - just that it did not suit your needs

To me, whether it is dSLR to mirrorless or the reverse, really is not an issue ~ choose whatever works for you and once you have it - stick to it :)

Yes, that is what I was after.  Just light discussion, curious if anyone gone back.

I know a whole lot of people that have moved to mirrorless and not one has moved back. Those people are out there but they would be a tiny minority.
