2 months ago, I remember reading someones post about how good the Joker movie was, how many impressive frames that could have made for great images.  Well, I finally watched the movie and no kidding, impressive!  The lighting and camera work was impressive!  Solid street shooting and portraits!

Be aware, Chester, that cinematic imagery has very little
to do with photographic imagery… and all the beauty lays
in the distinction. I can perform in one but appreciate both.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

I'll pass until I can view the film for free. However, there are times great photography and "cinematic imagery" mesh well. David Lean was a fine photographer (Lawrence of Arabia, Dr Zhivago), Stanley  Kubrick was also (Clockwork Orange, 2001, etc). They followed basic "rules" of still photography in many film scenes and did it quite well. There are many other examples.

Why so serious?

How so?  Many photographers from inspiration from great movies and videographers from a great photo.
