Why not just full frame sensors in 2020?

2020 is generally speaking for today.  But with full frame sensors dropping so much in price in recent years. Why not simplify or unify camera bodies and have full frame?  There are a few full frame cameras that are in the price range of under $1000.   Seems like full frame benefits outweigh those of a crop sensor or micro 4/3rds right?  Bodies have gotten smaller too, so it can't be argued about physical size so much.

Speaking for myself, size and weight matters. It is true that some full frame bodies are small and light weight but the better quality lenses aren't. That is where the main difference comes in. My Olympus kit includes the camera body which is an Olympus E-M1 MKII, 12-40mm 2.8, 75mm 1.8, 45mm 1.8, 9mm fisheye, a close up convertor for the 45mm, a 25mm 1.8 CCTV lens and a 75-300mm lens. Add in my filters, cable release, flash light, head lamp, charger with spare battery, odds and ends along with my Lowepro Slingshot 150 AW bag and it comes in at a grand total of just over 9 lbs. So not counting the fish eye, my lens focal length gives me a full frame equivalent coverage of 24 to 600mm. You will never come anywhere near that with full frame lenses much less all the accessories. It is not a system for everyone, but it's a better system than most people think. Full frame is good but there are advantages to other systems as well.
