Best business credit card for photographers in 2020?

3 years 11 months ago #683736 by Chester Foster
Hey guys, I want to get a business credit card.  Which is offering best features, bonuses, etc?

I was going to get a AMEX or Chase, but want to see if there are others that have better offers going on.

Let me know what you think.  Thank you for your help.

Pretty much all the same to me or is there something new?

Light is free… capturing it is not!

AMEX was offering 70,000 miles if you signed up last month, but you had to spend $5000 during first 3 months to get the 70,000 miles.

If your credit is good, go with the AMEX.

For both business and my personal life, I prefer American Express.  I’ve been with them since 1989 and have 6 of their cards.  Their annual fees for some of their cards is a nuisance at first, however when you look at the benefits you get, especially if you travel, there are some wins to be picked up.  Someone mentioned Chase above, I have one of their Ink cards for PT, it’s a decent card, honestly though, I just don’t use it enough to say yes or no on it.

Hi, I’m coming to the end of my 12 months with the AMEX Gold Business card and going to cancel it as i’ve made use of the bonus points and not many of my suppliers take it – not enough to make it worthwhile carrying on. I’m looking at the Virgin Atlantic cards, but is there anything stopping me from using these to pay suppliers? I can’t find anything on their website that states ‘not for business use’ or similar text, but am aware that some cards prohibit this use. Anyone have any experience? I’d use the Capital on tap card, but i’m a sole trader, so not eligible. I already use a Tesco CC for some purchases which could be classed as personal (eg fuel, oil for the heating in work etc) but I don’t use it to pay any other suppliers. I would be interested to hear your thoughts. Also how long would I need to wait to apply for the AMEX platinum if I cancel now? I may be in a position to make the minimum spend in the next year or two! Thanks
