Will you take a photograph gig for a funeral?

Actually this is a double decker.  I have a client who's father is on hospice now.  He wants me to photograph the fathers last weeks alive, and then photograph his funeral.   Would you take a gig photography.

Would you take a gig like this? If so, would there be any change to your pricing?

My Camera Bag:

Canon 7D | 50mm f/1.2 | 17-40mm f/4 | 70-200mm f/2.8 | 320EX | 580EXII

Would you consider recording the last spoken words
of an agonising person?

Sound recordings and pictures are capturing moments
that are precious to someone; maybe something that
needs to be said… or heard, something that should be
felt… or remembered. If your talent is to make pictures,
then do them.

Personally, I would talk about the son's wishes, inquire
detailed info on the visual aspect of the father, his mo-
bility, will there be other family members, should you
take them in the shot too, etc.

Make very sure you understand what is wanted… there
is just a fine line between good and bad taste… special-
ly in possibly delicate situations.

Price wise, negotiate with the son.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

OMG, I would have a tough time not crying.  I don't do well with moments like this, even in movies and tv shows.  Something emotional comes on, watch out!
