canon 6d underwater experience

3 years 9 months ago #689849 by Abhinav-Arora
I have been having my 6d for now many many years, guess 8-9 years, a couple of days back insanity kicked in and I wanted to shoot underwater with it, packed it nicely, so nicely that even the wifi connection with the camera did not work, unwrapped it a little to enable remote shooting via phone, and then took it underwater, the obvious happened and water went it via my 50mm lens.
It took one pic before showing alerts and error and I took it out in a jiffy, but with the wraps around, I could not get the battery out faster, so much water all inside when finally I got the battery out.
The next day opened it, layer under layers of the board till I saw the sensor and then I started blow drying it.
Left it out for a day after packing in Arizona sun and then attempted to switch it on, it worked!!!!!!!!!
but then a strange error, no problems while shooting continuously but if I leave the battery in then stops working for a while. Its been a week and it works perfectly as long as I remember to take the battery out after shooting.
Any idea what's got into it? (other than water)
PS: in this water episode my battery got damaged and had to get new battery.
