Moon with a crazy huge lens setting behind volcano

This video made it on my Facebook feed this morning.  Apparently this guy has a Sony a6300 set up with a huge lens and a Canon teleconverter.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

Did I miss the total focal length of that set up used?

OMG that massive lens with a 1.4x and 2x teleconverters??  ha ha ha

So if that was a 800mm lens, would 3.4x equal 2720mm focal length?

This is all nice, but what I want to see is how this does with indoor portraits.  :toetap:

That's cool, but perhaps pull it back a little to retain some detail.  Nearly all the detail in the moon is gone, so it kind of looks like 'blah' moving past the people on the mountain.

Cool, but back off the focal length to retain some detail would have been nice.

Good stuff, but would be fun to see clips in different stages as teleconverters were added.
