How to dry canvas print from water pipe that broke

3 years 8 months ago #692299 by Tim Chiang
We had a water pipe that broke in our home and one of our canvas prints got soaked.  The canvas print was exposed to approximately 20 minutes of water spray.  I have wiped it off with a towel, but wondering should I put it out in the sun?  Or will that high heat cause the frame to warp?

Right now I have it laying on the floor on a towel.

Thank you for the help.

How big is the print?  If you have a piece of wood that is larger than the print, place that on the top of it while it's on the floor and allow it to site there for a day under pressure while it dries completely.

If that is over it, how will air circulate around it to dry it??

A quick wipe down might be all that is needed.  Did the wood frame get wet or just the canvas?
