Tilt-Shift lens worth to have?

I don't own a tilt-shift lens, and would like to get a understanding if worth getting.  If you have one, do you use it as one of your main lenses?  Are you only using when you want to correct perspective?    Lightroom has the ability to correct, does the physical tilt-shift lens make that much difference over what you can do in LR?

All these questions are over my ability to write such long
answers in english but I'll give you 3 points. A main lens it
can not be unless you have a very stupid daytime job or
restricted ambitions.

1, Yes, to correct perspectives prior to SR most typically
   used in architecture
2, I have two of those; the PC 24 ƒ3.5 and the PC 85 ƒ 2.8
and I use them in different registers.
  • all PC lenses my be used as macro lenses
  • all permit the application of the Scheimpflug effect
  • all permit access to the small word universe
3, There is nothing Lr can do better than what PC lens can
   except possibly peeling onions. :P

HTH.

Worth it if you use it regularly , and perhaps even make an income from using it .  I presume you are aware how expensive these are compared to majority of other types of lens ;  just occasional, once-in-a-blue-moon use may not be worth it.  Renting such a lens may be a more viable option for only occasional use .
I have the Canon 24mm f/3.5 TS-E and have once rented the Canon 17 mm f/4 TS-E .
I use my 24 mm quite frequently because  large % of my shots are of architecture and expansive landscapes .  I tried the 17 mm once to try it out (beautiful piece and some awesome images) ,  but  I'm little scared of damaging the bulging front element,  and  not sure I would use it frequently enough to justify the large expense .
These can also be used to shoot  neat panoramas ,  that (with non-TS lenses) are often distorted by the swinging of the camera at different angles to cover a panorama .  With the TS lens ,  you can keep camera aimed at same angle,  and  just use the extreme settings of shift to cover a wider angle .
Lightroom does have SOME ability to correct for distortion ,  achieved by the lens shift function,  but not unlimited .                                                                                                                                             As for tilt function , (unless you're familiar can do with  focus stacking) Lightroom (or any editing program that I know of) can't substitute for the advantages of the tilt function ,  because (apart from focus stacking)  that can only be achieved in camera .  It's an optical manipulation,  not a digital manipulation .
