Connect 1 microphone to two cameras?

Is there anyway to connect 2 cameras to 1 microphone?

I see two ways. Paris.

Using a "Y" connection with the inherent problems
or using transceivers — costs more but impeccable.

What are the shooting conditions?

More information would be helpful. What type of mic is it and more importantly, what connector does it have?

A "Y" adapter "might" work and give you what you need depending on the mic. The "right" way though is to use a dedicated splitter box that has transformers and circuitry to make sure the signals are sent to each camera with equal signal level, frequency response, phase, etc. Here's a link to one that costs about $33 U.S. This one is set up for XLR mic connections but on that same site there is one for mics with 1/4" connectors. If the cameras are a good distance apart you may want to make sure you use the XLR version since it will keep the audio clean for long distances.

The other thing that comes to my mind is, I'm going to presume you are doing video with these 2 cameras and therefore will be editing shots between the 2. When I was doing wedding videos, I would record the audio with the closest camera and use that as my audio track and not worry with the other one. I also used a wireless mic on the preacher which usually picked up the B & G well enough to work with. Again, a few more details of what you're doing would help...
