Photography gear lock box for your car?

When you are running around and spending a lot of time in your car, which lock box are you using to distract thieves from taking your gear?

I tend to conceal rather than a lock box. The SUV is a pretty good lock box on it's own, but it has windows. With proper concealment techniques inside, there is no temptation to break in. My Jeep Grand Cherokee has dark windows behind the front seat, and an alarm system. A rumpled blanket from home hides what I don't want anyone to see. A blanket from home lying this way looks like the kids used it and left it behind. A crook will rarely give it a second look, if you do it right. In cooler Weather, jackets and clothing do well to hide things too.

Well that's what I had been doing.  I was getting ready to invest in the new Z7 II and Z lenses, which will be a big investment for me.  So figured I would ask to see if others were doing the same or had some fancy lock box.

CharleyL is right, concealment is the first step. Lock doors
is a must and black windows are a good investment.

Of course… a traveller should know that.
Better check twice than none!

Same here, toss my stuff behind passenger seat and put a old towel above.  Never had any problems here.
