LOCKDOWN

3 years 5 months ago #702149 by Nikon Shooter
Starting tonight, this central European country goes in
lockdown mode for a month.

Business was not good and not getting any better since
last Spring and that proved to have heavy consequences
but this next step, at the beginning of Winter, will have se-
vere, dire effects on the quality of life of all in these lands.

All the best to everyone! The deniers will suffer the most
and will cause the greatest harm.

G'day NS

In complete contrast to the US political leadership, the Aussie political leaders have pushed the medical experts to the front and said "follow their advice" and the country has. We had under 20 locally acquired cases yesterday (we also get several hundred from overseas arrivals going into 14-21 day compulsory quarantine)

<20 cases for a population of 26million - not bad eh!!

Yes .... masks 'on' in public ~ 1,5m / 6ft separation in public ~ use sanitiser on hands when entering a new location ~ wash hands regularly............. and keep smiling :)

I heard with pleasure that NZ and AU have been handling this cri-
sis with greatest success… though the price is always too high!

I'll drink to the reasonable people down under… CHEERS ALL!

I live in Michigan. They just did a soft lock again.

That would be a reasonable solution if it were a soft virus,
leading to a soft illness and eventually a soft death.

This chosen way will make your economy run softly but the
pandemic knows not the variations in all this… it is brutal.

Isn't there a vaccination coming?

YES BUT IT IS NONSENSE!

By the time it reaches your people properly tested, the US will have
doubled (at the very least — my guess not official data) the counted
casualties by mid 2021, nonsense. The past can be a good teacher.

It is meaningful only for those who need prognostics for their financial
interests.

A vaccine will not slow down contamination… ever but masks and social
distancing may. Even with a vaccine, one may not be affected but can be
infected and remains a carrier, a source of contamination.

All started when populations divided and deniers grew to half the totals.
It is known, the origin is in China but, check it out, the US will do better.

I don't want to infuriate any body but am I ever happy that my relatives
and friends live north of the 48th.

I wish you all courage, wisdom and health.

Well then all we can do is hope, and pray if you are religious.

Yeah this sucks, just when things were starting to move back along in some sort of order.

And the really crappy part is that our current president won't go with the flow and allow the new to start transition.  Which means, the American people will suffer the most through further lockdowns.

Not, Scotty.

Vaccines will prevent most contaminated people to be very
ill but will not prevent them to be carriers, only a masks and
social distancing will slow down contamination.

Vaccines create anti-bodies to kill and deactivate viruses. That's how they work.
