Sure, but without hosts, it dies out. That's how this works.

G'day everyone

I am not going to enter the debate about US political responses to the C-19 issues ~ plenty of others around the world have made the international views quite clear

But what might be of great interest is 3 items on today's (18-nov) Aussie news sites
(All are open - no sign-up, no cost to read)

Stay safe  :)

Those not inside the body — nasal & oral cavities — will not
make a host ill but will be able to multiply — incubation pe-
riodand be re-ejected — defining a carrier, contagion source
that may not yet affect the host but will infect others, thus
the mask and social distancing.

It is important to remember that this virus attacks the respi-
ratory system.

Can't affect others if they're vaccinated and immune. I don't know why you're arguing that vaccines don't work when they're the reason we don't have polio in our country.

Where did you read that?

Vaccines (DNA or new RNA) are the best way to reach "herd" immunity
— read about it. But to get there, a vaccine is not acting like an On/Off
switch, it takes time — individual immunity is not collective immunity —
to eradicate a specific pathogen agent from a collectivity, and, ultimate-
ly, from a territory.

If everybody gets vaccinated, you have immunity. I really don’t know what you’re trying to argue.

Yes, individual resistance but not collective immunity, not immediately.

This virus will possibly end up like many others, a recurrent discomfort
nothing more, but not in an On/Off fashion. So until collective immuni-
ty is reached, there will be more infections. Hopefully less and less as
time passes by.

A pandemic is an attack against a population — in this case the world —
and, like for any wound, removing the agent means not instant healing.

This was my last reply to you in this matter, Scotty, stay well.

Yes, hope that the deniers won't contaminate more people
with their very questionable behaviours… and I don't pray.

No need. Once vaccines go through properly for everyone, it’ll die out.

Yep true, but how long will that take to get this into everyone.  Then how many people won't take it?

I agree with you and Nikon there. Once it's FDA approved i'm in even though I believe I already had it last winter.

In the meantime, these lockdowns are BS.   Those of us who follow the rules pay the price for those out there rioting and attending these various protests, spreading Covid.
