Storing camera gear at freezing tempatures

My husband has us up in a cabin camping trip next month.   3 of the days will be sleeping out in a hut on a frozen lake.  As I understand, the huts are barley heated and you are really staying warm with sub zero sleeping bags.  In cases like this, what can I do with my camera gear? Particularly the batteries?

Canon 7D, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 70-200mm L f/2.8, 100mm and 17-55mm f/2.8

In any case, to avoid is temperature shock cold to warm because
of condensation happening on the glass surfaces. When leaving,
keep your gear in its case and let the heat dissipate over night. In
the morning, the temperature will have gone down slowly and the
gear is ready to use.

Batteries have their capacity is reduced in the cold so it is good to
have replacements at hand and store them inside you jacket during
the day.

I spend many hours some days shooting wildlife in Winter and the
strategy proved to work fine for me.

OK, thank you.  But what do you do when you have to move quick and not enough time to let the camera sit to acclimate?

Then you are suggesting warm to cold, no condensation
problem but have spare battery along, :)
