Live stream wedding - need camera recommendations

3 years 4 months ago #705303 by MYoung
OK, this is a product of Covid 19.  I have a couple that wants to live stream their wedding.  There will only be a few people actually there, everyone else will be watching and participating via the web.   I want the best live stream I can offer.  I hoping this might spark up my wedding shooting business as well.

Whats the best camera set up for this?

Use your iPhone, that is 4K and you can upload with the data connection you have.

Canon 7D, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 70-200mm L f/2.8, 100mm and 17-55mm f/2.8

I am not familiar with using cameras as webcams... came across this article that Nikon is releasing software to use some cameras as webcams.

The article is here

Maybe this can help you?

A still camera used as a web cam isn't recommended.  They tend to overheat in about 1/2 an hour and shut down.  I think the cell phone idea above is the best.  The other slternative would be a video camera.

thank you! I'm going to forward this to my Nikon friend!  I thought the phone idea was the best option.

A lot of weddings are happening this way.  I  have a friend who shoots weddings and they have shot 4 (that I know of) weddings in last couple months broadcasted via cell phone.
