Loosing your memory card??

3 years 3 months ago #708208 by Stacy Craig
One other question or me today.  I don't suppose there is any sort of tracker you can put on your small memory cards to keep track of them.  In case you misplaced one and can't find it in your home?

I'm asking for a friend.

G'day Stacy

A decade ago at a local lookout, we found an SD card inside its little plastic case, just lying in the grass

Plugged it into the card reader, then looking at the pics found hundreds of images from what appeared to be someone's 'grand world trip'.  There was no-one else at the lookout, we posted selected images onto various sites with no success

From that I created a small text file that lives on all my SD cards and all USB memory sticks - in the hope that should I lose them, hopefully someone will be kind enough to return it to me.  Use Windows Notepad and save the text outside the DCIM folder so that it will not get erased when you erase old images.  Here's what my text says ...

Hi there
If you're reading this, it means that I have lost this memory card somewhere. If you're feeling good today, perhaps you would consider placing it into an envelope and posting it back to me - I shall value it - and your actions.

thankyou, give yourself a hug and travel safely
