OMG this is golden.  Amazon Basics ripped off Peak Design and they had fun with them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon is doing this with other brands too.

G'day all

While this post relates to an Amazon (rip-off) product probably made in China or another lo-cost country, we in Downunder-land are becoming very tired of Chinese companies ripping off Aussie products

It's been years now where clothing has been ripped off, then kitchen layout / cabinet flat-packs sold in major hardware chains around the world that were Aussie creations originally, and lately, Aussie Caravans (US calls them Trailers) from an Aussie icon branded Kedron ~ which is the name of the Adelaide suburb where the company has its headquarters and factory

Needless to say, the Kedron people Downunder are not impressed with the knockoffs, as media reports indicate that the knockoffs are only a poor quality copy of their highly regarded originals.  Equally 'funny' is that these knockoffs are not sold in Australia because the agents know they would be heavily prosecuted for design theft

True, but people don't know that and end up buying that garbage, with many likely not ordering again.

Funny video, but not funny circumstances.  Amazon is out to get your profits.

Watched twice, that was a good laugh.  Can't they sue Amazon?

Isn't something like this protected from a patient or design trademark or something?

Amazon most likely has a team of attorneys to research and find products they can rip off.

I will never buy any of Amazon Basics stuff.  This is pretty disgusting of Amazon.
