Mother's Day Cameras

2 years 11 months ago #716363 by ScrubberDucky
A little introduction I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm not into cameras but my mother is huge into them.

For Mothers Day, I wanted to find a new camera with the price range of about $2000 USD. Can anyone help me out with some models that could be promising?

Thanks!

No chance my friend… I wouldn't dare!

It is such a personal thing… she most probably knows what and how
she wants to use such a great gift… let her choose!

I would suggest you say you need her to guide you to a camera she
would be happy with.  You are then sure you won't mischoose! :P

NS said it all right there.

If I were in your position, I would opt for some flowers and a card.  Inside the card, you could include a personalized coupon from yourself, offering chauffeur service to her favorite photo shop.  Then when you get there, before going inside, you could say, "Oh look, here's another coupon for you for $2000. Wow! What a surprise!"

How excited do you think that would make her? Also, maybe she has had her eye on a new camera worth $3000, but thought, "Maybe not".  Now she has $2k and might put in another $1k to get what she really wants.  Maybe, she has had her eye on a certain lens. Only she knows for sure.

What a way to say "Happy Mother's Day.  Good luck on her special day.  Whatever you decide to do, I hope you let us know what happened.  Happy endings are always good news.
