Samyang 14mm f/2.8 ON A Nikon FA SLR? Matrix metering?

2 years 11 months ago - 2 years 11 months ago #716755 by kevin2
I was considering getting the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 ED for my Vintage Nikon FA SLR film camera, but I'm not sure it will allow matrix metering or not. Anyone happen to know if this will work on vintage F mount  SLRs?

Metering options are body dependent so fell free to use them.

Looks like Kevin is trying to spam the site with Ken Rockwell links.

Hi Alex,

I was not aware of that… you should delete my post if you
judge it appropriate.

Hey bud, is your name Kevin as well?

If it is, my comment wasn't directed to you, but the original poster who seemed to make a post and then follow up with another post (which was blocked) that included spam to another site.

No, Alex, it is not and I understood the situation very well I think.
My suggestion was to possibly remove my reply to a spam thread
that I was not aware of.

Have a good day! :P

Yes, you can use matrix metering but only in aperture priority mode (or manual mode, of course)

Ken does that on DP Review as I understand.  All sorts of shilling going on over there.

Sorry! Just wanted to be sure nobody wasted their time answering my question when I had found the answer myself. But nice to be welcomed by being called out like that on the first day. Who ever the other fella is, it ain't me!
