Would you happen to know if MPB inventory has grey market gear mixed in with it?

I'm near certain they don't knowingly accept grey market gear.

Oh man, I'm pretty sure they don't.  I just searched their site and didn't find anything in print about grey market.  I can't imagine they would, no one wants grey market.

They're out of the UK (in Brighton) although they now have an address also listed in Brooklyn (which has been known for camera shops that pull bait 'n switch, move often, etc.).

They're registered in Delaware, which can be a red flag. Legit businesses register there but so do not-so-legit companies because Delaware has special courts for businesses to expedite legal matters, but they also require less info. than most states so it's easier for scammers to register there.

So I don't know where they get used equipment that they sell in the US, if it originally was from the US or not. You probably need to find out if equipment originally had a US warranty. If it didn't then I think it is gray market.

So how do they know if something is grey market or not?

Isn't it by the serial number to each item?  I think so.

These guys most likely pull from the same pool as KEH, right here in the states.

I'm pretty sure they seperate each market, so all stuff in the US, is from here and UK from Europe.

All licensed dealers/distributors have access to a serial number data bank
that reveals which gear is sold in a given legislative regions/countries and is
limited to the said area.

Gear makers have to apply warranties accordingly, specifically.
