Any cross platform camera users here?

I'm currently a Nikon D750 user and thinking about picking up either a Panasonic GH5 or Sony A7III.  Now I know, I can't my Nikon lenses on either of these options.  So... aside from having double the lenses in my camera bag, were there any other negatives to having another camera platform in your camera bag?

You can, with readily available adapters. I use all my Nikon lenses with my \Sony A7IIs

G'day Sanford

As with many things - Dr Google is your best friend here .... to find adapters for one body / mount to another

Do you have autofocus with that setup?

I have both Nikon and Olympus systems. The Oly's are mirrorless and I can use any of my Nikon lenses on them with the proper adapter. Yes, AFis not available but that is no great loss except when shooting in fast moving situations. I also have adapters for my other mount lenses (Leica, Minolta, Canon, Konica et al) to micro 4/3rds. Each camera line has its pros and cons...

Fotodiox and Metabones   both make a wide range of adaptors ,  although the options may be limited for Panasonic bodies .

Not I, happy with being a single platform user.  UNLESS you consider my iPhone a second platform?  LMAO

I have Canon, Fuji, Nikon, and Sony digital cameras in that order of age. I mostly use the Canon cameras now, being the newest, and most versatile for what I'm photographing now (mostly studio work). I do still use all of them to some degree.

Different cameras have different strengths. I have lenses and accessories for each of my cameras that I use to take advantage of each camera's strengths. So, I don't necessarily have redundancy in my kit.
