Completely random question - do high schools still teach film photography?

One of my sons attended a photo group in school and
film processing was a serious part of it.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

I'm not certain about now, but I went through that class back in about 1957. I was already doing photography at that time on my own. I ended up with the teacher that was responsible for taking yearbook photos of the clubs and sporting events giving me the use of the school's Graflex Press camera to take the photos for him. I don't think I could carry that thing and the film packs and flash bulbs if I had to do it today. I think of that every time I pick up my camera bag.

G'day Liem

We have one or two 'specialist' year-11, 12 colleges who include film and D&P into their 'Photographic Art' modules
