Would you buy a camera where no shutter count is available?

I found a Nikon Z7 that a woman is selling, she claims she was recently divorced and this was her husbands camera that she got from the settlement. She has no clue what the shutter count is on it, and seems a bit clueless.  Would you buy a camera like this that is priced well?

I'm on the fence.  It's a good deal, but that would suck if I buy and it turns out it has 300,000 photos on it!

She claims he bought it only a year ago, and it looks new.  Based on the photos, it looks really good.  What would you do?

In my life "too good to be true" has usually burned me, so I now frequently pass up this kind of deal, unless the cost of shutter replacement is far less than the selling price. I would still likely pass on this one, unless I was able to find out the shutter count or get her to do it.

When you go to buy the camera, take a test shot in JPG and check on you computer before you hand over the $$.  If she gets butt hurt that you are doing this, it's a scam.

I wouldn't buy any used camera that didn't come with a warranty (as in, not a guarantee).

I'm walking her through the process of taking a JPG and sending me the file, I'll look up the shutter count.  Thank you for all the advice!
