Where is Nikon Shooter?

1 year 10 months ago #739187 by CharleyL
Nikon Shooter hasn't posted in 2 weeks. Is he OK? Does anyone know how to contact him?

He was recently in the hospital. I hope he hasn't had a relapse.

Does anyone have any contact information for @Nikon Shooter other than posting here? His profile doesn't offer anything.

I had been trying to get hold of him, he's been a HUGE help to me since I joined but recently there's been no response. I just visited his profile page and saw this...

Rest in peace dude. Thank you for all your help.

(This might be old news to some of you, I didn't know)

Thanks mate for the post

I have had personal email details for Daniel Ouimet for some time now and we have chatted about various things in recent years. My personal emails have gone unanswered for 2-3 months now, so I am doubly-disheartened to read the RIP post

Phil aka Ozzie_Traveller

Sorry that I did not see this sooner, but when he stopped posting, I feared the worst.
Earlier this year he posted a few times saying how much he hated hospital stays, but never said why he was there. His posts became less frequent after that.

I think we considered each other good friends, although our only contacts have been here. I wish we had been able to become closer friends.

Rest In Peace Daniel,  Aka  Nikon Shooter. I think it goes without saying that your knowledge and help here will be missed by many here.

I've not been doing my usual daily posting here either lately, because I've had a few health issues myself. Almost 2 weeks ago was my second eye surgery for cataracts. The first eyes lasted me 80 years, so I'm hoping these "new eyes" will last longer than I do. Then Friday, a week ago I came down with COVID-19, which was quite a surprise because I've been in seclusion for the past 2 1/2 years, had both COVID - 19 shots and both boosters, and I've only been going out for doctor visits, groceries, and other absolutely necessary trips, while I have been wearing a good quality N95 mask for every trip out.

So far, my wife and youngest son who are living with me do not have it. I'm the only one in the house who has it, so far, so staying away from them as much as possible. This past weekend was rough, but I have been improving since. An old standby remedy for flue has been helping me. It's called "Theraflu". I've only needed a single dose of it today, but I was taking it as soon as possible to the box instructions before today. I like the lemon and tea "Extra Strength  for severe colds and flue" version, but it comes in several varieties and flavors. Walgreens has a store brand for less that seems to work fine for me. I've been taking both without problems.
