Double batteries always increase camera flash sync speed?

Did I get this correct, that when you use a double battery grip, your cameras sync speed becomes faster?  If so, why is that?  Extra battery just means longer life of battery under consumption right?  So why couldn't the flash sync speed still be quicker, but battery just won't last as long?

The camera's flash sync speed is what it is, regardless of the batteries.

The Flash Sync Speed is the fastest shutter speed for a focal plane shutter that will permit a single flash to illuminate the entire image sensor.

At faster shutter speeds, the top curtain starts coming down from the top of the frame before the bottom curtain has reached the bottom of the frame, so a single flash wouldn't illuminate the top or bottom of the image sensor.

High Speed Shutter (HSS) gets around this by using multiple flashes, each occuring when the curtains are at different positions during their travels.

Adding a battery doesn't affect that.
