Suggestions on Replacement Camera..Help!

Hello,

I'm in the market for a new camera and need suggestions. My current camera is a Canon Rebel EOS T5i and the lenses  I use the most and want to continue to use are the Tamron 17-50 mm F 2.8 and the Canon 70-200mm EF. I can not upgrade lenses at this time. Technology has changed quite a bit and look forward to some upgrades. I would consider a full frame DSLR if the weight of camera is same or less than my current camera. I can not do a heavy or bulky camera.  I'm an intermediate landscape photographer, mainly hobby but may sell prints at some point. I also do some real estate photography, so needing a wide angle lens that can be used for landscape and real estate photography so also need suggestions for wide angle lens. I'm not looking for the best of the best as I'm limited on funds, so middle of the road is great. I have to say I have not been real happy with my Canon photos. I find my cell phone Samsung S22 takes better pictures. I shoot in the RAW mostly and do editing in Lightroom but seems that my cell pictures clarity and color are always better. A bit discouraging to get my DSLR out at times. I have done some research and mirrorless seems to be the new thing. How is Sony in the camera world? I look forward to suggestions and appreciate your time. Thanks!

The Tamron 17-50/2.8 is an excellent lens, but it only projects an APS-C size image, and so is inappropriate for a 'Full Frame' camera.

Adorama has these Canon APS-C bodies available:

Mirrorless will require a costly adapter to enable you to use your current lenses, so the advantages of mirrorless (smaller size, less heavy) go out the window.

Canon EF/EF-S cameras are going for a song these days since Canon are focusing (no pun intended) on their new RF system. The second hand market is your friend. Lots of great kit to be found there. Have a look at (for example) the 2000D or 80D. Or even the 90D.

As far as wide angle lenses go check out the EF-S 10-18mm. It's a cheapie but has a good reputation. I have one too from my Canon days and I have no complaints.

As far as your image complaints go that's a hard one to answer without seeing one of your images. My first proper camera was a 600D which is very similar to your T5i (700D). While it wasn't perfect I got some great images out of it. Let's see what you've got and maybe we can find a solution before spending money.

Costly... not sure about that. I guess cost is relative. I have two adapters. Both are Sigma MC-11's and they cost new €250, I got mine used for €130. That's not exactly costly.

I had both the 60D and 70D before I went full frame. I liked the 70D because of the touch screen. This series - 60D-70D-80D-90D are all affordable and great for use with EF-S lenses.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I'm a big fan of the used market. Every lens I own, save one, I bought used.

But used items for mirrorless cameras are rare. Congratulations on your finds

That items for mirrorless cameras are rare is defintiely true but for what ever reason there is a glut of these adapters on the market. I use one on my macro lens and the other on Brutus (my Sigma 150-600), two lenses that I like and don't intend to replace.
