When are we going to see wireless tethering with pro cameras?

Help me understand this please.  I run Adobe Lightroom CC on my computer and no my phone I have the Lightroom app.  Now if I take a photo on my phone, that photo nearly right away is showing up with me doing very little about it.  Now with that said, why can't this technology or ability I should say be in our pro cameras?  We have bluetooth and wifi already, what's holding back from making this instant transfer happen?

Off the top of my head, file size.

But don't you think we could be there when you look at technology and how things have gotten 'smaller'?  For example 26MP was a huge file a few years back, these days it's not that big.

It's still big. It's just not as big as some of its current contemporaries.

My Canon 77D and 90D cameras all can send photos direct to my PC via WIFI and they have had this capability since I bought them new. I don't usually use WIFI and prefer Tether cable because the tether cable method is about 4X faster. There is a Canon Cell Phone App that lets me link the Canon cameras to my cell phone too, but it's also WIFI and too slow to suit me. WIFI to my computer takes 8-10 seconds per shot using WIFI and 2-3 seconds using a tether cable, so I put up with my camera being on a "leash". Until they come up with a faster communication system than WIFI, I think I'll remain with a tether cable when I can, but still resort to WIFI if the tether cable becomes a problem. Unfortunately, with cameras taking larger and larger photo file sizes, this problem may exist for quite a while, or even get a bit slower, before it gets better.
