Grey market means gear sold in other countries??

When it comes to "Grey Market" camera gear, this only means that it was intended to be sold in other countries vs USA correct?  And it doesn't have warranty?

Yes, though it does have an international warranty, though you have to jump through some significant hoops to get it honored.

Another consideration is that "gray market" products have often been left unattended for quite some time, so the firmware may be significantly out of date, and it might not have been stored in appropriate conditions. In such a case, even the international warranty might have been voided through no fault of yours.

Personally, I don't have a problem with 'gray market' for products that are unlikely to need support, like lenses. But for cameras, which are much more likely to require support, I steer clear of 'gray market'.

Yep, just warranty

Not quite, "just warranty". Don't know about all brands but Nikon will not work on gray market cameras at all. Be prepared to have to go third party on camera repairs out of warranty.

Exactly, just never needed warranty on lenses.  I would have no problems buying grey market.

I buy mostly used stuff from MPB or KEH these days, so don't grey, green or blue market, makes no difference to me.
