Composition has to be number one mistake.

1. Images are cluttered
2. There is NO bad weather in photography
3. No Patience
4. The Digital Attitude
5. The photoshop attitude
6. Unwanted things in a scene
7. Always shooting from eye level while standing up
8. Placing People in the picture
9. Not including other people
10. Wrong Perspective

Agree with everything above, but would add "checking all 4 corners of the photo".

I see so many novice photographers that have a good shot marred by a garbage can or junk on the sides. All they would have to do is step into the photo a little bit and they would have a stronger photo without extraneous detail that detracts from the subject.

For a beginner.... leaving the camera on Auto or Green and not learning how to use the silly thing...

Also... getting a kit camera from Best Buy and then getting on Craigslist to advertise their "professional services"...

Point and Shoot Mentality
Ignoring Rule of Threes
Not Understanding DOF
Not Understanding Exposure/Metering (the concept)
Autofocus
Working Within Boundaries/Not Exploring
Too Many Easy Shots (babies, stills, daylight)
Low Comfort Level ("I look silly carrying a tripod")

Also ,heavy handed post processing eg: too much saturation/sharpening of photos
