Canon people... what portrait lens are you using?

Late night and searching around B&H and Adorama at various portrait lenses that will fit my Canon 40D. I'd like to know what lens other Canon owners are using for their portrait shots?

I know 85mm on Nikon side is a preferred portrait lens. I'm sure Canon has one.

Probably the Canon 70-200L f/2.8IS - most versatile, others that I would recommend would be the 135mm f/2 and the 50mm f/4

You've got tons of options as demonstrated by bhody's post. The 70-200 is probably the preferred lens for that kind of work. I personally have an 85 f1.8 that is very budget friendly and I really enjoy. I use it on a 30d which makes it long enough to get tight without being in someone's face but might be a little long for studio applications.
