So disappointed, has this every happened to you before?

I went off yesterday with my D300 and just my every day lens to find some good photos in town. I spent about 3 hours shooting and had some great shots. When I got home and downloaded the images, just about dead center is a fuzzy dot in EACH photo! I looked at my lens and there was a speck of dirt on it! Man so disappointed, all the photos are shoot or require some Photoshop cloning.

It's not on your lens, but on the sensor. Get yourself a "Gittos Rocket Blower". Following your cameras instructions,. place the camera with the lens removed on a tripod facing down. use the blower on the sensor, blowing off any dust that it may have. This happens with DSLR's, it's a fact of life.

I agree with Scott, clean your sensor. Knock on wood I've not had that happen.

I agree getting the sensor cleaned should clear up the problem I have not ever had this happened. Sorry that it affected all your pics.

I was taking some photos a few months back and a speck of water from a sprinkler got on the lens. That drop made a mark in most of my photos for that afternoon :(

A wide angle lens stopped down f/11-16 would do that with something on the lens. But usually the spots on your image are from dust on the sensor & a small f-stop.
Some personal views on Sensor cleaning.
