Dropped my camera and lens today. Broke hood and not sure what else?

Wife took off with my camera sitting on the trunk. I have a Nikon D300 and it had a 70-200mm f2.8 on it :( that now rolled off the car and onto the pavement. So far the only damage that is seen is a broken hood and a few scratches. What else should I be concerned about? I took a photo with another lens and it seemed to take the photo. I'm just wondering if any internals might be knocked around? What should I be looking for, damage wise?

Sorry to hear that, I would have the camera checked out by a pro shop just to be safe. I would be concerned about the mirror.

I'd follow ShutterGuy's advice & have someone check it out (lens & camera) as the lens elements might be mis-aligned or other things might be wrong that are not obvious to anyone without proper training

Is your equipment insured?

Canon 7D, 15-85mm, 18-55mm, 70-200mm, 100mm Macro, Sigma 120-300mm, Speedlite 430EX II

A bad day at the race track is better than a good day in the office

Thanks for all advice, I will need to make the time to get this professionally looked at. NO insurance.
