Is there a way to remove noise from a photo that was taken with a high ISO setting?

Noise can be taken out with the help of software, and there's a lot of choices out there. Adobe Photoshop has decent noise reduction options already included in its RAW processing window - it's worth checking out. If you want to take it to the next level you can purchase 3rd party software additions/filters to Photoshop that do an even better job.

the best noise reduction filter I've used is Topaz Labs Denoise, but there's tons more I haven't tried. If your not getting the results you'd like in Adobe RAW, try some free trials and see if they're worth purchasing for you.

Yasko gave you an excellent answer. You might search using Google, or another search engine, and look for keywords: noise reduction photo hight iso software. You will get plenty of information.

Hope this helps,

Topaz Labs and Nik Software both have noise reduction software that works great. You would need to have Photoshop CS2 or greater

The problem I have with noise removers is that they also rob detail from the photo... Then again, I never shoot at high ISO's either.

Hmmm, Adobe Lightroom has good settings for clearing out noise. I have been able to recover some photos that other wise would have been in the trash that way. As said before though, shooting RAW allows for much easier editing of the photos.

Good point and reason to always shoot with least amount of ISO

How easy is Lightroom to figure out?
